I’m just a simple head-covering skirt-wearing Christian woman living life out loud in the most untraditional Mennonite of ways, living life and breaking people’s preconceived boxes.
I work as a schoolteacher to anywhere from 4 to 22 students, grades 1-8, in the hills of West Virginia. I volunteer with the local rescue company, and I love keeping house with my wonderful husband. I love bright colours and adventures, and pretty much live by these next two favorite quotes of mine.
“Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming, “Wow! What a ride!” ~Hunter S. Thompson
“Here’s to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, the round pegs in the square holes…the ones who are things differently. They’re not fond of rules…You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them, but the only thing you cannot do is ignore them because they change things…They push the human race forward, and while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius, because the ones who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world are the ones who do.” -Steve Jobs
